Like in her writing, Tari enjoys mixing in a bit of humor with her stories and truth.
Tari Faris received her MDiv through Asbury Theological Seminary in 2004 and has experience speaking at ladies’ retreats, teaching writing classes, and giving Sunday morning sermons. She is open speaking to a group of any size and any age.
Right now she feels most passionate about the talks listed below but would be open to discussing a different topic if you have one in mind.

Following God’s Crazy Plan
Phil. 3:12 “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
How did I become an author? By saying yes to God over and over even when it didn’t always make sense. I was a terrible reader growing up and hated anything to do with books. But God, in amazing grace, gently led me from being a person who avoided written words to a person who shares His love through written words. God’s plan may not always make since and it might not always be easy, but it’s always the best and it will never be boring.
Blooming Where You are Planted
Isaiah 58:11 “The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
For a Midwest girl, living in the desert for 15 years has been a struggle. But looking back, I realize that had I been almost anywhere else, I probably wouldn’t be an author today. God knew what I needed and He put me not where I wanted to be, but where I could become who He created me to be.
